My project 2010 Mustang GT is coming along nicely. Blue has his 1st mods: a beautiful polished Paxton Novi 2200 air to air self oiling system, a JBA axleback exhaust system, 18" Anthracite deep dish bullitt wheels, & a CDC chin spoiler. Read below to see the current build progress. More to come shortly, so please check back often.
SPONSORSHIP: Thank you to Sponsors Paxton/Vortech/Lysholm, AmericanMuscle.com, JBA Exhaust, Blow By Racing, HouseofHID.com, Horsepower Direct & StreetCar1320.com for their support . If you have any tech questions or are interested in sponsoring Project Blue, please email me @ KristaElyse1@gmail.com
LATEST UPDATES: Blue ran a 12.7 @ 119mph with a 2.3 60' on stock factory 18" street tires. The car shows definite mid 11 second potential with the Paxton Novi 2200 at 10 lbs of boost and an axleback exhaust as its only mods.
7/22/11 - Blue dyno'd 452 rwhp. Due to the heat, I'll be taking the car back to the dyno in the fall, and should be able to get about 470rwhp on the same setup.
7/25/11- See Blue in September 2011 Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords Magazine!

Thanks to sponsorship from both Paxton/Vortech/Lysholm & Blow By Racing, Blue is well on his way to becoming a quick quarterhorse. The photos were taken throughout the supercharger install. The Novi 2200 air to air self oiling system was installed and tuned in less than 7 hrs trackside at zMax Dragway by Chris Jones of Blow By Racing with some help from yours truly. Unfortunately due to a BAP issue, a good run was never taken, though I did make it down the track. Dyno & Drag #'s are coming soon...

Thanks to sponsorship from JBA Exhaust, Blue now has a throaty new growl from a JBA axleback exhaust system to go with the intimidating whistle of the Novi 2200 supercharger. The exhaust was extremely simple to replace. It is a direct bolt on. The most difficult part was having the strength to yank the old ford mufflers out of their place. Luckily I had help for that part. Visit JBAheaders.com to see more on their available exhaust systems.

Thanks to AmericanMuscle.com, Blue now has a new CDC Chin Spoiler. If you have a huge intercooler like I do and thought you could never fit this on, think again. Though the chin spoiler required some minor cutting, it fits perfectly. The car now has that aggressive race car look and the piping running under the car is hidden from view. Overall the install took about an hour and a half due to the cutting required, but was extremely simple. If you don't want to spend close to $1k for a new painted bumper to fit over your intercooler, the CDC Chin Spoiler from AmericanMuscle.com is the way to go. $250 and a little cutting is all you need. Check out their site for more information!
Out with the old, in with the new. The first step is to get rid of the factory chin spoiler. To do this, you're going to need a phillips head screw driver and a ratchet with a 7mm socket to loosen the screws holding it on the sides near the wheel wells. |
Yep, I'm missing the underside of my bumper. snapped thanks to a nice windy Maryland day a few months ago so I just cut it off. If you still have it on your car it'd look a little different. You don't need it to put the chin spoiler on but it adds a little extra rigity if you have it. | Old and new chin spoilers side by side. Notice how the entire center is cut out of the old one. The same needs to be done with the new one. |
Time for a test fit to see just how much I'm going to have to cut out of this thing for it to clear the intercooler and piping. | Looks like about 2.5" are going to have to be snipped off the back end |
Side by side comparrison, top view. | The easiest way to cut this is with a grinding wheel due to the thickness of the plastic. If you don't have one of these, a dremmel is sufficient, it'll just take a bit longer. |
Due to the graphic nature of the poor chin spoiler's dismemberment, here is an "after the cutting" photo to give you an idea of how exactly to cut. As you can see, there is plenty of support left so the spoiler doesn't become flimsy. | Time to put it on and throw the clips back in. |
All done. Lookin GREAT!! | Happy Krista is happy :-) Next mod? Wheels! Thank you American Muscle. |
Thank you to AmericanMuscle.com for helping me out with my deep dish Anthracite 18x9 and 18x10 bullitt wheels. ![]() | Thanks to StreetCar1320.com, I have all my sponsor decals printed in matching anthracite vinyl and ready to go for NMRA's at Atco! ![]() |

7/2011 - Blue made 452 rwhp & 386 torque on a mobile dyno after an 80 mile drive in the blazing heat. The guys at Pro-Dyno say the car can easily make 475 rwhp on a decent dyno run. ![]() |
